After a disappointing winter due to a serious back injury April was defiantly brought back the happy times. In February I was told I might never run a marathon distance or over again and the physiotherapist gave me little chance of running a race for the next  12months due to a herniated disc. On this advise I reluctantly pulled out of this years Brathay 10 in 10 (10 marathons in 10 days) which was a real low point after training hard for several months. Not to be beaten I started doing the back exercises given (maybe doing to many than I should) and over February and March began to recover a lot better than expected. Two months after being told the devastating news I sit here holding 4 marathon Medals from April 2012, Hull, Brighton, London and Manchester which where all completed in a sub 3 hour 20 minute time with only a few little pains here and there in my back. The smile is defiantly back on my face!
